1) How do I cut a tapered airfoil into roughly 12" increments to show the rib profiles ?

The airfoil is a different section from tip to root. I'm practicing on a tapered tube first. https://cad.onshape.com/documents/06139b7a7e663f82a8df7261/w/b95c93d8b4e6c6b9eb2e7098/e/296955b5aa8ca0072548d46b
My goal is to make rib the profiles into dxf files.

Here's an example, I created variables to automatically adjust the location of ribs for more flexibility but that might be overkill:

My next question is - I need to edit some of the section ends. I made the part 1 ends into new sketches. I'm trying to go from a 3/8" deep groove to a 3/4" inch deep groove. I tried to remove through extraction but I doesn't work because the extraction seems to follow the plane and not the tapered angle of the new groove. What do you suggest?
I'm a bit confused by what you are trying to do with the "spacing apart" (Transform1)... However if you are talking about cutting a groove in the side of the tube, you should just be able to use a loft with the sketches you have.

I resolved the deeper grooves by starting a new drawing where and lofted the part that needed deeper grooves. The other part I left alone.
I am concerned if these ribs will work as a dxf file for a lazer cutter. I can't get any of my airfoil drawings to resolve.https://cad.onshape.com/documents/7316636e41f8a4a057d8f93d/w/21aa9dd80afaa4a97f539d6b/e/0cf87353e8400d56396db8e1 I build and sail landsailers and iceboats.
I'm making some plans to build an articulating wing for landsailers and iceboats. In the past I've lofted my airfoils by hand. this is one of my best builds - https://youtu.be/jxTdw3jd9PU
Once you have done the split you can show/hide individual parts so you could save yourself the work of creating all these transform features. I'm not sure what you mean by "drawing not resolving".
