Variables in Description

It would be great if you could places variables in the part description.

This would allow me to to places the configuration property variable in the description and automatically produced a unique description based on the configuration property variable.

This could be nice as a native functionality, but it's possible with Featurescript. Here's an example. In this case I am just editing the text directly in the feature itself, and concatenating the variable values in, which means you will copy the feature per part, but you could probably generalize it enough to be a single feature usable anywhere. I hate editing long strings in the feature dialogues though. (Onshape, if you're reading this, please make the feature dialogues expandable into a pane where we can edit long functions and strings!)
