Hole tool tricks when sketch plane for locating point is not at hole start.

Do you guys have any tricks for the hole tool, when the locating sketch point lies on a plane different than the start of the hole? For example if you want a C-Bore or C-Sink on the opposite side of the sketch plane that contained the point. Or, sometimes the sketch plane is buried within the part, for example if you extruded the main feature symmetrical about the default plane for symmetry. I use the hole command a bunch, and run into this a lot. My current workarounds are to use extrude sometimes instead of the hole feature. Or, recreate the sketch points to locate the hole on the face that is most appropriate. Both seem like extra and/or redundant work. Is there anything better? Thanks.
