I can't loft internal holes

I'm drawing a tapered airfoil. I want to add lightening holes inside the ribs with the holes arraigned like this  - https://cad.onshape.com/documents/5d5aea1418a382c4d9940160/w/59e296287135d4baf68af6d6/e/dca5107138e7ea685ee5cef8
My goal is to have the holes on all the ribs that are spaced roughly 12" apart like this - https://cad.onshape.com/documents/4465c5faccd7343b7e1964c8/w/5e06206945f9ce14f0ebd24d/e/5993bf2281242f431cff8875

I would try lofting the external shape first, and then loft the inside holes as separate features.

Yes, you can't loft "nested contours". As @S1mon said, loft them solid first and then loft the holes separately using a "remove" as the option.

I usually get around this by lofting surfaces and thickening them or lofting a solid shape and then shelling it, but these are only useful if you want to create a part of constant wall thickness
