Changing color of inverence clues and location of tranforming arrows?

I'm finding when I model it's difficult to see the inverence clues that the program uses. Center inverences, line inverences, all seem to be colors that are to close to the background or the color of parts and can't be seen very well. Location of arrows for transforming, or moving parts are usually in positions that are not convienient. Bright red, and options to have arrows for transforming to be located at curser would be wonderful.
Is there a way to customize the color and location of these features?
