Finding the center of a revolve

jack_erhartjack_erhart Member Posts: 123 ✭✭
I have created a part using the revolve feature, and in another plane wish to find the center of the circle on the surface created by the revolve.
I can't do a new sketch, or use the dimention tool to find the center. At least not in a way for the inference indicator to be used to find center.

Could someone point me in the right direction for being able to accomplish what I need to do?

Thank you.

How did you define the center for the original revolve? You should still be able to reference whatever that was. Do you have a picture or example of what you are trying to do?
Anything that is revolved should also allow you to place a mate connector on the axis after the fact.

    Thanks Eric,

Found a workaround. Did an offset of the outside dia. of the revolve to 0" and that created a center point I was able to work from.

    Thanks again for responding.

Sounds like you got it sorted, but you can also create a mate connector by selecting any revolved surface.
