How to mirror element horizontally and then vertically and still keep faces?

I kindly ask for help with mirroring element. I've got sketch like this:
I can mirror this small element without any issues:
but then, when I try to mirror both of them again using the vertical construction line this happens:
All faces disappear
Question:
How can I have those elements copied with everything working as expected - that all faces are still there?
PS I've also tried to use circular pattern (with two elements + two), but the effect is the same...

While you can mirror and pattern in a sketch, it makes the sketch more complex and not as robust. Mirroring or patterning features or faces is often better.
If you really want this to all happen in the sketch, it looks like some of the sketch fillets are not coincident and tangent. Either they have gaps or perhaps they are overlapping. It's hard to see in the screen shot with all the constraints turned on. You could share a public document.
One way to diagnose where the issue is with things being closed is to divide and conquer. Just sketch a temporary line across the entire sketch. If half of it turns into faces, but the other stays clear, then you know which half has the issue. You can drag the line around or add other temporary lines to see where faces can be formed (the sketch is closed).
