To copy a part in Onshape, use TRANSFORM

In using Transform, you could copy a part IN PLACE, and that means that it’s going to duplicate that part at the exact location of the original. When doing it this way, you’ll want to look at the Parts List on the left side of the screen, and you may want to ghost the original part, in order to see the new part

With Transform, you could also copy a part to a different location. And also to a different orientation

There are a number of things to choose from within the transform dialog box

    Aside from Transform —

You could use MIRROR, to end up with a copy that is a mirrored geometry of the part

There’s also ways of copying a part by using one of the pattern tools. Such as linear pattern, circular pattern, or curve pattern, or a custom featurescript pattern tool

Back to the Transform tool —

Here is an example of using Translate by XYZ within the Transform tool

Are you trying to copy/paste in a part studio or an assembly?

    Great thanks.

Found the transform and paste. Never thought about then moving it and no doubt if I had looked in the parts it would have been there to.
