Feature request - configurable released components

Please can you consider making it so that configured parts can have configurations selectable from released versions when used in assemblies. This is a major limitation and there are many use scenarios where you may want to have configurations of a single released part selectable within a higher level assembly. One example is something like a rivet where it is deformed on installation so needs to be represented on a drawing of an assembly in both an assembled and pre-assembled state (pre-assembled exploded state and assembled state). There are heaps of other instances where this functionality would be used also.
