Solidworks zipped pack and go does not unpack when imported

BambergermBambergerm Member Posts: 5
I am trying to import a SW assembly, so did the following:
1-pack and go, flatten to a single folder, create zip file - this is named the same as the assembly.
2-Import into Onshape - it imports with no errors, but creates a Zip file in one of the tabs in the document but does not unpack it and create parts/assemblies

What am I missing to get it to unpack?
Thanks in advance

The import process can take some time (in the background). The feedback is not so great. I've thought something wasn't working and it eventually showed up just fine.

That said, I have had issues with some imports. It sounds like you did all the right steps. I would report this to support if your parts/assemblies don't show up after 10 minutes or so.

Thanks for the follow up. I found I had named the zip the same as the assembly, but I needed to add .sldasm to the file name, then it ran just fine.
    Cheers,
