Bend / Form a Part from an Import

Hi all, I'm hitting a wall on how I would go about forming this currently flat part only at the edge and then following a path to the rear. The other side would do the exact same. Front and Back would be at their current positions. I'm trying to get this to form to a curved hood.
Any help?

The process is to create a surface in the right shape and then use a "replace face" to change the profile. I also duplicated the face to get the the top and bottom face parallel.
Also if the whole part is symmetric I would just cut it in half at the very top after import and mirror it at the end to save a bunch extra work...
@eric_pestyYou're a gentlemen and a scholar.... Thank you! I made some slight adjustments and I believe we're good to go. I'm going to have to spend some time on this technique bc this was really really handy. thank you again!
@dirk_van_der_vaartThank you as well. I liked your approach but I ended up with some gaps when I tried to curve the top down as well.
Thank you both, I have a lot of learning to do!
