Hello

In OnShape, is there any way to model how layers of flexible materials will crumple when they are folded?
I need to model a hinge made of layers of card plus flexible bookcloth....

Thanks

J

PS Likewise is there any way to model how rubbery materials will flex?

Short answer is no, there's no magic feature to do this. If you carefully set up a simulation you might be able to see a visual representation, but there's no way to use the geometry from that. If you know how the part is likely to flex, you might be able to model it intelligently with some configurations with a distance or angle that drives the flexing.

If you share some images (of CAD or real parts) or public models, people here might be able to help.
