Extruding Text

I added a text box with text on a separate sketch, and it extruded normally.   But if I add several text boxes to the same sketch, Onshape will not select the text or text box to be extruded.  Instead, it selects and extrudes the surrounding faces and sketches.  How can I select and extrude particular text on a sketch with several text boxes?  Thank you.

I just tried multiple text boxes within one sketch and it worked fine. Did you perhaps cross a line over the text or something like that? Take a look at my document and see if you can duplicate it.

I believe I was unclear. My document has one sketch with the text boxes added to it.  Your document has two sketches, with the text boxes added to the second.  My purpose in the exercise was not adding unneeded sketches. I expect your method is the answer because it uses only a single additional sketch for multiple text boxes.  But I am still curious to know if a document with only one sketch can extrude the text in one or more text boxes.  Thank you very much.

Yes, it can. You just have to do a lot more selecting to only extrude the regions you want. So its not as easy to pick only the text or only the background.

I got it!  When I zoomed in close, Onshape permitted me to select text letters one at a time from multiple text boxes on the single sketch and extrude them together.  It's a temperamental so and so, but it works.  Many thanks.
