Show "live" combined measurements while moving assemblies?

david_stellardavid_stellar Member Posts: 2

Is there any way to show the dynamic distances between parts as assemblies move?  And even better, to show a summation of combined distances?

I.e., similar to having a readout of the length of rope that would be needed to go between a series of points while parts are moved in an assembly?

Not in assemblies exactly, but if you could put the parts in a part studio and simulate the movement you need, you can use the measure function to create a variable which would update. There’s also a few FeatureScripts which can spit out measurements with slightly more complex measurements than the built in tools (sensor and measure value).

You could also create a dummy part in context of the assembly and create a measurement from in context sketches.
