Inferences aren't shown for second 'between' entity

I have a simple shape with holes through it. I want to place a mate connector centered between two holes

When placing On Entity mate connectors, three mate inferences light up, for each hole.
When placing a Between Entities mate connector, three inferences light up for the first hole, but *none* light up for the second, and it doesn't matter which hole I choose first.

S1mon Member Posts: 2,989 PROI find Between entities to be very fussy and not that helpful except in basic cases. https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/19468/mate-connector-placed-between-entity-on-two-drafted-surfaces-should-lie-on-the-mid-planeIn your particular case, you could just place the mate connector on the origin, or if the holes are likely to move off that center, you could add a helper sketch and use that as a reference. Mate connectors and their options are complex and somewhat unique to Onshape - even though they are basically a coordinate system.0

Try this. I used the standard mate connecter in the midplane of the large hole the realigned the major axes to the cylinder face of cross hole.
Otherwise I do S1mon's helper sketch.

Also if you re-order the hole features, you can just create your mate connector feature after the vertical hole (but before the horizontal one) without needing anything special:

But this particular "fussiness" is pretty much an easily-reproduced bug. Whatever the priority for it may be, there's a test case on the record. Otherwise, I'm finding mates and mate connectors generally intuitive and helpful. The 'shift key locks inferences' trick helps a lot.
