I have generated a drawing of the roof structure, but I want it to be a drawing face on to the roof, how can I specify this?

Thanks!

    @james_munro, try this:
    1. Select the face of one of your roof rafters.
    2. Type n (to orient the view "normal" to the roof surface
    Is that what you are trying to do?

    This is what I want but in a view on a drawing sheet.

    You need to either create an "auxilary" view in the drawing or I would just create a named view in you model and use it on the drawing.

    I did what you suggested and named a view, thanks!

    This has gotten me ore than once when exporting slightly angled parts to be laser cut. Named Views to the rescue!
