Adding miscellaneous items in a BOM

Newbie question - How can I add miscellaneous items into a BOM. I didn't want to put them into the Assembly. Items like masking tape, rubber bands etc. Things you want to note, but are not critical.
Tnx

You can do it like this. Make surfaces of dummy parts for glue, paint, etc. Then insert them into your assy. The BOM table will be correct. You can hide all these dummy parts in the assy, and save a display state with them hidden so they won't clutter the screen. There might be a more elegant way of accomplishing the same task, IDK.
