Onshape homepage 3D model

Hi,

Does anyone know/mind sharing how the interactive 3D model is imbeded into the Onshape homepage?

Hey there! In a nutshell, we exported the Onshape model as an glTF and then leverage the three.js library to manipulate it. To improve our homepage load time, we actually slice the file into multiple pieces which we serve from a CDN. In the future we may leverage different technology, but for now this was the simplest way to get the effect we desired. We previously had a video displaying a model and UX data indicated folks were trying to interact with it, which is what inspired us to embed a real model.   Cheers, Jess
