selecting overlaid sketch entites

IsoThermIsoTherm Member Posts: 66 PRO
Greetings,
I frequently have overlaying curves in my sketches (for example, a line in construction mode and a shorter line on top of it as a solid line that I plan to use to build my part). Is there a way to select just the shorter solid line but not the underlying construciton line? Can't seem to figure out how.
Thanks

I try to make my sketches in a way that avoids this kind of issue. Sometimes, of course, it's between inconvenient and impossible.

Two approaches come to mind: either keep a skeleton of construction geometry in a different sketch, referencing it as needed, or use Select Other (shortcut is ~) to select the entity you want.

hmmm. bummer. Autocad has had it handled for years by using tab to cycle through individual overlaying items in a selection group. Can't believe I'm the only one to grumble about this.

What @_anton is saying is that the key above Tab (usually `/~ on US keyboards) will cycle through the items under the cursor (shift and the same key will cycle through the possibilities in reverse). You can then hit enter (or left click in the pop-up menu) to confirm the selection.
