Why Transformed object doesn't snap?

Hello
Suppose I have a poligon which I need to rotate so one of its corner goes to the sketch origin point and one of its side is aligned with the horizontal axis.
When I use the Tranform tool it allows me to snap the rotation point to the origin, but it completely ignores snapping when one of the poligon's side goes close to any default axis.
So it suggest that I have to manually type in the exact angle for the rotation, which is not very handy.
Is there a way to easily rotate a piece of a scetch, so it snaps to one of the default axis?

Thanks a lot!
