How do I lock 2 gears in a gear mate

I have 2 identical gears mounted to a plate. Each gear has a pin that protrudes from the face. The gears are mated to the plate with revolute mates, and to each other with a gear mate. I need the pins to both be at the top together as the gears rotate. This means they will also be at the bottom together, towards the middle together, etc. I can suppress the gear mate and rotate them each to the top, but when I un-suppress the gear mate one of them jumps to a different rotation.
How do I lock them to each other once I have set their relative position correctly, without having them change position?
Here's a demo of the problem I'm trying to solve: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/77f731975463821636bbfea8/w/d522a6e3f970e234226c374f/e/02c3a0353f13160421de2779

You can do this with 90 degree increments using the "Reorient secondary axis" button:You can further dial in the clocking to whatever amount you need by editing the mate connectors:
However, with your gears designed as is, the teeth don't mesh with both pins at TDC. You'll need to adjust something.0
