Removing material from extruded wall

Hello Community -
New to using Onshape and had a quick question. I'm working
on https://cad.onshape.com/documents/998521645874f950fdbeb865/w/01994f4cfce6446f34c48375/e/b7d391cef7839d06d9320e66 and I need to create a small hole or rectangle like cut out that removes a portion of the inside walls making them open to the outside ones. This is for a 3D print. I tried making another sketch with the right view selected, but when drawing the second sketch, it ended up shifting away from the wall. Below is a screenshot of my project, and a markup of what I am trying to accomplish. Is there any easy trick to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Matt
