Magnitude and Bias in Bridging Curve

Please define mathematically Magnitude and Bias in Bridging Curve.
I do not understand their meaning.

    You can look at the code for Bridging curve if you want the true mathematical definition.

    For a simple explanation, take the case where both end conditions are tangent: magnitude is the strength of both tangent vectors, and bias is the ratio of one tangent vector to the other. I much prefer to use the newer control point method of modify the curves. In either the magnitude/bias method or the control point method, there is code which normalizes the weights based on the distance between the endpoints and the input vector angles to make them more user friendly and independent of the scale of the curve.
