Removing knurled section from a slot

Sorry if this is a newb question, this is my first project teaching myself to use onshape. I am trying to model a small knurled knob from a piece of high end stereo equipment. I figured out how to produce a circular knurled pattern but I can't figure out how to remove it from the small external slot/keyway. Thanks.
