How can I rotate a part and sweep the rotation path?

Hi all - Having trouble figuring this out. How can I rotate a part and sweep the rotation path?
Imagine I'm making a keyhole on the surface of a square block. Once the key passes through the key hole, it turns 90 degrees. How can I rotate that keyhole sketch/extrusion inside the block and include the rotation path into the extrusion to be cut out of the block? This is a very simplified version of what I'm trying to attempt.
Thank you!

Hi @michael_rozelle is sounds like the feature you are looking for is Revolve. Remember, you sketch must be closed (All vertices connected just like when extruding a solid). And, select the merge scope; instead of "Add", which it defaults to, you will want to switch it to "Remove" then select your merge scope.
