Help creating a part with fill

lance_leasurelance_leasure Member Posts: 10
Hello,

I'm trying to create a fourth part on the tab "Base Working REWORK" by adding a fill to a chamfer I deleted. I did the same thing in an earlier step ("part 3"), but I'm missing something and the fill only resulted in creating another surface. If it's relevant, once I create the new part, I will create a union of the four parts into a single part. Can you help me figure out what I'm missing/not doing correctly?

Thank you!

@lance_leasure, in the earlier part 3, your initial surface has end caps. In your latest attempt, the initial surface does not have end caps making the resulting surface still an open surface instead of a fully enclosed surface. You could close off the ends before you fill, or you could use the Enclose feature and select the new surface as well as the ends so that it is fully closed.
