Spline to follow a curve

david_mrozinskidavid_mrozinski Member Posts: 5
I am trying to create a spline that will be a rail for a loft. I need the rail to replicate a projected curve. I have been trying to add point by point, but I’m finding that even though I snapped to the projected curve while tracing, it’s not coincident with the projected curve when I examine closely. Close but not exact.

Any suggestions

I would first enable high quality in the render option (left side of the screen, drop down under the view cube). Might be just a renderer issue.

Then, maybe using "3D fit spline" (Edges, not Vertices) could help creating a precise guide.

Fit spline through a lot of points is likely to produce a lumpy curve.

Can you share a public document or at least an image of the curve in question? There are some good techniques depending on the shape of your intended curve.
