in CAM Studio
Hello there,
I have few questions:
TOOL PATH - Can Feed, Plunge, Retract rates be placed under FEEDS tab instead of SPEEDS tab, since they define a movement (mm/min) [inch/min] not rotation? S & F are common terms used already by the industry.
Can POSTING tab be renamed as SPEED since there is all about speed (rpm) ?
LINK tab - what for the box named Distances is referring to, in relation to what parameters ? it is hard to find what they are controlling in case somebody needs to alter these values.
I also want to bring into your attention this weird behave of CAM studio I encountered today not knowing exactly the cause: after I have delete the component and adjusted the sizes of the composite curve used as boundary for facing operation and after that had created version, CAM studio behave heretic, not wanted to add a component. I refresh the page couple times, but still no improvements. Even after I deleted entirely CAM document and inserted a New Tab of CAM Studio starting from scratch, it didn't want to add a component, just spinning(thinking) w/o messages, then nothing added. However, I insisted several times
) not knowing what to do, somehow one of the tries accepted the component, then I moved to next to add the composite curve, but not a chance. Same to Stock. Weird, what should be the cause and the solution in case it happens again? The internet connection after I checked the Performance had shown to be in good parameters. Did I do wrong somewhere ?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Sorin
