Is it possible to design an object in cylindrical coordinates on Onshape?

I'm not aware of an alternative polar coordinate system type in Onshape, but you could always use a circular (polar) base sketch and then build your object upon that, or use "Line Angle Planes" based on the cylinder axis.

Here's one example: Click for Onshape document

In the sample document, go to the "Polar Base Sketch" and edit the angle dimension to anything you like between 0° and 360°. Close the sketch and note how the tube rotates toegther with the plane it is based on. Then edit the "Branch Tube Sketch" to modify the height of the bent tube, note how it slides up and down. That way, you could easily build objects based on cylinder coordinates.
