How to add a square concave to a metal sheet.

I am making a laptop cover and I making it with sheet metal. I want
a depression, concave square, or pressed square stamp around the
keyboard(kinda like the one on apple or xp laptops). I know you can do that with a part, but I am not sure how to do
that with a metal sheet. Here is my document, it's the keyboard cover
part. It's the "Form post" version.
Bonus question: Is it possible to make a metal sheet version of a aluminum soda can?
