Tapering shapes?

I'm trying to make a mount to enable me to attach an impact sprinkler to a fence post, but I'm really struggling to create a tapered shape for the spike. It tapers both lengthwise and width wise in each of the four ridges of the spike. Would anyone be able to suggest the best method to try and tackle this? Thanks!

That's great - I didn't realise you could loft to a point like that. Thanks for sharing.
