How can I edit Text on an imported SLDPRT file

Hi, I have an imported SLDRT file that has text. I am puzzling how to (preferably) edit the text on it, but deleting and adding a new one of course is also fine.
I am an OnShape Newbie, so apologies if I ask a very obvious question. I have tried things by selecting and extruding, but got stuck

Sketch a rectangle on the main face and extrude/remove the rectangle out to the face of the text should leave a clean face to put your own text in.
