How to define a curve based on the path of a partially defined point?

I'm a new user, so my approach may be kind of wrong, but I'm trying to quick-and-dirty replicate this geometry theorem: "the locus of points with a fixed ratio of distances from two given points is a sphere." I defined a triangle like in the image, and I can move the point 3" away from the origin and it seems to trace a circle, although I'd like to see the actual curve defined by it and wonder if there's any feature/set of features to accomplish this
