Offset Sketch - switching offset direction

Urs_Egger_REACTUrs_Egger_REACT Member Posts: 94 PRO
Hello all,

I often struggle with the sketch offset feature. The offset starts in the wrong direction and if I switch direction the selection chain gets broken.

Is there a way I can switch offset direction and keep the chain selection active?

Try smaller offsets first. There’s probably something twitchy in that curve that looks like a fillet. Check the curvature and the minimum radius.

You can try to offset a complete chain by click and drag in a direction (holding the left mouse button down).
But this will work only if the origin lines are not set to contstruction lines.

    Hi there,
can´t you just pull on the arrow to get the offset in the right direction?
What are your original sketch elements? I tried it with splines, arcs and lines and had no problems.

    Hi there,
Thank you for your tipps. Seems like my origin sketch spline did not work because it was a "used" curve from a body edge. With standard curves your recommendation works.
