Split part with faces

Hi all,
sorry for a stupid question, but can You please help me with splitting the pot with three 120 degree faces? I can´t find out how to. I think the problem is, that i don´t have joined the faces, but I can´t do that.

Your splits do not work because you are not actually splitting anything, you are trying to cut. For the split to work it needs to actually split the part in 2.
See this example for a way that you could work around this and make split work.

I'm sure someone will come back with a reason but for now have a look at this

But I did it with thicken and remove function already.
