Having problem with sketch offset?

dave_franchinodave_franchino Member Posts: 52 ✭✭
I'm pretty certain there is an easy solution to this problem but I've encountered a number of difficulties with offsetting sketch entities.

One problem is that Onshape starts by offsetting the selected entities by a nominal amount (5mm for a metric model) - which creates difficulties if the sketch entities can't be offset in one direction.  For example in the following image I would like to offset the entities around this notch by .25mm - however because the notch is pretty small, Onshape errors out because the "nominal" 5mm offset isn't possible.  I don't seem to have an opportunity to enter a smaller offset before reversing the direction of the offset.

I feel like I'm explaining this poorly but if not, does anyone know how to get around this?

Hello Dave. You can move the feature's arrow with your pointing device to move the offset to an approximate position and enter the value from there. - Scotty
