how to add parts to a document

Hi all,
new to cad but going thought the training and learning a lot. using the free version.
one thing I am currently looking for for a small project i want to start is adding a part like a bearing, to a shaft that i design in OnShape. I know there is a concept of adding existing parts to your assembly like standard screws and bearing and other static components, but can't figure out how to actually do it.

For other types of content, just use Import , the plus sign in the lower left. Onshape will import:

However mesh models are inherently "imprecise" and if you want a bearing model, a STEP file downloaded from McMaster (or a number of other available sources) is a much better option.
