Align one face of loft with cylinder

Hi, I am fairly new to Onshape, and I have a question. Not sure if this has been asked before, because I also don't really know the correct terms to explain my problem.
I am trying to achieve something similar to this:
Currently, this is what I have:
As you can see, there is a gap between the curly extrusion and the body of the vase. See this picture:
At the same time, the bottom of the curly part intersects with the body of the pot.
I would like the face facing the pot to follow the path of the pot. How do I achieve this?

If you project the curve onto the body face the loft should follow the path more accurately
