Extruding accordingly to given dimensions

Hey folks
I wondered if I can ignore or improve this:
I generated a spline for usage as the outmost dimension. Onshape seems not to use the precise spline but somewhat close to this. Is this lazy grafics, or too little information?
the image shows the discrepancy between sketched spline and outmost dimension of the resulted extrusion.
Has anybody faced this before and how was the process of improving the extrusion result?
