Newbie with question how to model a barbed tubing coupler

I'm a real newbie with Onshape and CAD in general. I need to design a custom part that will couple two pieces of plastic tubing together where each piece has different inside diameters. I want to put barbs on the coupler to help retain the hose to the coupler, like this CCT1607B - Honeywell CCT1607B - 1/4" Barbed x 1/4" Barbed (brass) Plastic Tubing Coupling (supplyhouse.com)
I have no idea of how I should design this.
Can anyone provide me with some advice of how to start the model?
Thank you

A good exercise to learn from. However, I would be tempted to download two established part models of the two different sizes and marry applicable elements of the downloaded sketches together.

Also have a look at the learning centre, which has excellent video instruction and is very well laid out.
