Can I simulate a Geneva drive?

Like the title says I am trying to animate a geneva drive. How do I do this? Already modeled it but the gear relationships I see are continuous. I need an incremental gear relation with a degrees per rotation field or something

I've seen people fake it with something like this.

I'm using a Rack and pinion relation.  The little gray follower part is the rack and the geneva wheel is the pinion.  The vertical position of the follower is driven by a tangent mate and a sort of track.  I animate the horizontal position of the track, which moves the follower, which rotates the wheel.  The track could have just about any shape.  I could also hide the track and follower and it would look like the wheel was undergoing incremental motion.

@john_mcclary has done some work on what I call Animation Timelines...  He did an amazing animation of solving a Rubiks Cube (https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/10484/rubiks-cube-mate-animation).

I've used some of his work/ideas in the subject in a couple of animations of my own....and If I could figure out how to post a video here I'd share it!  ;)
