video file formats allowed in Forum posts

Was trying to post a video (screen recording) of animation sequences I captured of some of my models...but I am unable to select the files using either the "Attach a File" or "Insert an Image" options... The files are greyed out in the selection box when either of those options are picked (see screenshot).
I use an Apple I-Mac (macOS obviously) and the file format of the video is .mov (QuickTime Movie). Is this file type not allowed? Or perhaps the file size is too big? Are there limitations for either?
