Bringing in a Part Studio from existing document - reference current Variable Studio

I tried to bring in an existing Part Studio to another document, but can't get it to s read from the new Variable studio ?

    I'm assuming by "bring in" you mean you used the "move to document" function.
    Doing this will result in the part studio using a version of the part studio from your old document. You have to go into the variable panel of your part studio and remove the reference:
