Loft fails when guide curve is too severe

This is my part. The highlighted curve is the curve in question here.
This curve is being used as a guide for a loft. It is working fine in the screenshot above, but I need the curve to be "curvier." See next screenshot:
If I adjust the curve to be what I want, the loft fails. I can understand that this is a harder shape for the loft to generate, but I know that this geometry is "possible," it's just that OS doesn't know what I'm asking for. The error in the loft says "Current selections would create a self-intersecting body."

So what methods would I use to create my desired geometry? Do I have to create some more profiles between the start and end profile? I would rather avoid that if I can, but I will if I must. But I'm not certain if that would even help me here?

martin_kopplow Member Posts: 575 PROIt could be that the inner and outer surface of the resulting shell self intersect or with an end face. I'd build the faces one by one to get more control over it. Maybe the outer surface could need an additional guide curve.
