How to make louvers

I'm making some round outdoor speaker enclosures and would like some louvers to allow sound/air out but direct falling water away.  Seems like some tilted planes, linear patterns, and boolean operations but I'm struggling a bit.  Maybe there is an easier way. How would you do it?

Hey Steve. I suppose Nick's question has to do with what modeling path to take to get a desired result i.e. how is the part to be produced? I would 3D print it because that is my only practical option. We've probably all seen hooded louvers in sheet metal; that would be another method. The same CAD model may not suit both methods.
