Why do item numbers lose their link to the BOM?

bruce_fischer469bruce_fischer469 Member Posts: 16 EDU
Hi there,

I created one drawing with two sheets showing different configurations of the same assembly and having their own BOM, respectively. However, on the second sheet the item numbers lost their link to the BOM as shown in the following screenshot:

When I create a separate drawing of the same configuration and with same settings, it works again (see screenshot below). Can anybody tell me why?

Best regards

I'm guessing the assembly on the second sheet is a different configuration but the BOM shown is for the configuration from the first assembly. Make sure you use the same configuration when you insert the BOM.
If that's already the case, check the view property and make sure it's using the correct "BOM reference" (whatever the setting is called near the bottom of the view properties)

Thanks, your second point helped. I just needed to right click on the view, select view properties (here: Ansichts-Eigenschaften ...) and change the BOM reference (here: Referenz Stücklistena ...). However, it's still a bit confusion, because the BOM references have the same name.
