Hi all,

I very new to CAD onshape and working on my first project that I also want to build in real then. It´s a chickenfeeder. So far everything is working very good, but the one part I dont get to slide the correct way.

I´ve got a little screencast here attached.

Link to my document: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/7e8d79610f75fa19b7ab959b/w/d4d5105aff0906d3f5d1e90f/e/6ad200a4bf32e4c2506e343c?renderMode=0&uiState=664afad9684f1d116b16db14

Can somebody tell me how to do it or give me a hint please? :)

Best,
Thomas

Ah.  Then you could add a fillet to the bottom of the window to make it round and then add a Tangent mate.  Or if you don't want the window to be rounded, add a hidden round surface and use that for the Tangent mate.

You could change the design to use a Pin-Slot.

Thanks, would be possible, yes, but thats not how I would build in then in the future, because its enough that it gets pushed by the stick. No need for extra geometry to get it function :)

So its not possible to simulate it like this in onshape?

Thanks, but thats not exactly what I want, because I would not build it like that then. I added now one missing feature that ensures that the window cant fall out:

I got the idea from here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYzppQIstYw) and I want to build it like this.
