Onshape Data Speed Requirements
Hello,
I am setting up a computer lab using laptops for Onshape. 35 Students will be opening documents, copying workspaces/tabs, importing, exporting, opening and editing parts studios, assemblies and drawings usually at the same time in many cases. What are the areas where data transfer rate can become and issue? How do things like panning, zooming and rotation affect data transfer? Is there a rule on how much data transfer you would need for reliable use in a case like this?
We would like to get a Wi-Fi network established for this lab.
How do the data transfer rate requirements of Onshape compare to something like a You tube video or interactive game/simulation/animation?

The spikes of usage will be during document open (download) and import (upload). Modeling in part studios and assemblies is very efficient in terms of network usage.
Student-sized projects generally don't require much bandwidth. Imports should be infrequent and opens should be only a few seconds each.
