How to find the right bolt in when inserting standard content?

Eg : I want to insert a bolt DIN 4017 in an assembly.

What I do now :
Insert part and assemblies. => Standard content => Search for the right bolt by scrolling through all the content which is a slow way.

Is there a possibility where I can just search for the right DIN bolt  without having to scroll through the whole list of nuts and bolts?

In addition : why not using DIN 4762 instead of DIN 912? Why still using the old nomination?

Thx in advance.

I am with you. If there was an input (search) field in the insert dialog, where we could alternatively just input "ISO 10642", we'd only need to specify length and thread and we'd be done in a fraction of the time. Old standards should automatically refer to matching new standards. The classes used in the dialog appear to refer to US-traditions and there are way too few options by far. I find myself importing standard fasteners from suppliers's websites more often than using the OS-included standard items. Also, I have build a little fastener library myself. Each time I need one I can't immediately find, I just model it, name it appropriately and put it in a special folder. I know that's not the way a cloud based CAD should work, though.

Wouldn't it make sense to create metric fasteners by a feature script, on a mate, only out of the standard designation, thread and length?

I joined OnShape five years ago, and if I had to pick one area that seams to have been forgotten, it would be "standard content". I know small improvements have been made - but I think they could triple or quadruple the amount of common content. I kind of wish they had a small team devoted to implementing more standard content ( and other quality of life items that have been overlooked in the rush to release new updates ). Don't get me wrong, I love all the new updates, and OnShape as a whole - just don,t forget the little stuff too.

It is very importtant to create standard content such as fasteners from properties and dimensions, instead of inserting them as objects like it's currently done. Reason: It is very important to be able to change or replace fasteners as the design evolves. The designer should then only have to type in a new length, diameter, thread or head type and violá! The new size or fastener type should appear in the place and with the mate the old one had intact. That is one thing I miss very much and which would speed up all things assembly and make life a lot easier.
