How can I set the language settings for the Forum Pages?

rafael_telgmannrafael_telgmann Member Posts: 121 ✭✭✭
Hi folks,

I live in Germany but I want to have all the forum pages to be completely in english, otherwise it is a mess. Half of the menus are englisch, posts are english, but some page elements are translated. In Onshape (CAD) it is easy to set the language, but it has no effect on the forum pages. I have not found anything in my account settings to manage this.

I add a Screenshot... yellow=German, green=english

Some advises?

At the bottom of any page on the forum, you can see the available languages to set the forum locale separately from your Onshape settings. Maybe you have selected Deutsch, which is causing these issues. If you reselect English, everything should return to English.

If you scroll all the way to the bottom of any page in the forum, you will see the languages available to set the forum locale separate from your Onshape settings. You may have selected Deutsch, which is causing these issues to occur. If you reselect English, everything should return back to English.

I believe that's a global setting in your onshape acoount. https://cad.onshape.com/user/settings

I've set everything to English, even though I am German. That way, I know the names of all the stuff discussed, and don't have to go through translating everything.

Thx for your answer, but my settings in the onshape account are set to english as im mentioned. That is fine for me. I just mean here in the forum it is a german-english goulash.
    Are you not experiencing this?

Ah, lowest lower left corner, that is genius. Below the facebook and twitter icons. Scrolls off screen all the time the page has more content than it's standard height covers or I try to scroll up to the user settings icon top right. I must probably have found that at some point in the past, but it is probably as least intuitive as it gets.

@rafael_telgmann Sorry, if I put anyone on the wrong trace here, but GUI wise that's pretty disappointing.I could have searched for days on end, just like you. ;0)
